About the Network

The Network (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Network) is an organization comprised of mid-level practitioners from varied areas: Family Nurse Practitioners, Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Adult Clinical Specialists, Public Health Practitioners, OB-GYN Nurse Practitioners, and Certified Nurse Midwives. The group was established in September, 1990 to provide a structure for networking. What began as a loose association of practitioners with common concerns has evolved into a viable organization which provides an essential and valuable resource to Stanislaus County Region.

The Network meets at monthly dinner meetings which feature speakers and/or presentations on subjects which are relevant to our practice. There are CE units and CME's available to the membership for many of these presentations. A monthly newsletter is posted to the website containing the following information: timely information on legislative issues affecting the licensure and practice of the membership, information on upcoming meetings, informal job announcements and a "bulletin board" for members' announcements. It is hoped that The Network will provide a support group for its membership which functions by providing an atmosphere for networking, communication, and problem solving.

Dues are $24.00 per year for licensed practitioners, $12.00 for students and $24.00 for Associates and Sponsors.
